White of the Eye is so underrated it hurts. It’s a brilliant thriller that manages to delve deep inside the mind of a sadistic killer yet make him likable at the same time. David Keith’s performance, at his most sadistic, is similar to DeNiro’s in the remake of Cape Fear where it almost feels too believable. The cinematography is wonderful, capturing the beautiful desert landscape perfectly and filming the deaths almost like a classic giallo flick. The finale is so intense it just must be seen. Sadly, there’s still no US DVD release but definitely track this down.

The director of this movie wrote Tilt and Performance!

If you want to listen to me and a friend talk about VHS and movies for two hours straight feel free to listen. Just something we decided to start doing. We call it Tape Mold. If you want to be on the show, let us know. We’re recording Episode 2 later today and are always looking for future guests. It’s just us spouting out the mouth about how great VHS is.

Hey, any horror fans/VHS collectors! I have two copies of the Blood Spattered Bride Gorgon Video clamshell so one is for trade! Once this is gone I’ll delete the picture. Make an offer. Money or a trade.
